After 40 years as one of Western Australia’s most respected accountants, including 28 years as a Director of Finkelstein Hickmott, David Hickmott has made the decision to step back from Finkelstein Hickmott to pursue opportunities in not-for-profit and board advisory roles.

“I’m extremely proud of Finkelstein Hickmott,” said Hickmott. “Since becoming a Director in 1993, we have enjoyed a period of sustained success, growing the company tenfold and investing in our staff as we have built a diverse, loyal and highly valued portfolio of clients.”

David will continue to bring his wealth of knowledge in taxation, due diligence, business appraisal and SME advice to Finkelstein Hickmott in an advisory capacity. This step back from the day-to-day work at Finkelstein Hickmott will allow others the opportunity to fill the role of director and shape the company for the future.

“I am also pleased to announce that Jesse Bowland Curtis will become a Director, joining Rob Fowler and Peter Cooper. Jesse has worked at Finkelstein Hickmott for almost 14 years, working his way up from Accountant to Tax Manager, and I’m proud that this latest move carries on the fine tradition of promoting from within the firm, as Rob, Peter and I were.”

Jesse’s time at Finkelstein Hickmott has allowed him to hone his specialist skills in the areas of family law tax advisory, financial structuring, property development tax advice and HNWI tax management. His goal is to ensure Finkelstein Hickmott clients continue to receive the highest level of service and expertise; and oversee the continued development of the highly skilled staff within the company.
